The vision for Sanctuary Farms was officially cast in May 2022, but the backstory for it began 6 years prior in March 2016.
Upon visiting the Forgotten Coast area for the first time in March 2016, Weston and Victoria Severns began to develop a God-given love for the area. Over the course of three years and subsequent visits, this love only grew and turned into a deep desire to live here. This desire gave way and led them to packing up from Central Ohio and moving here in March 2019.
Ministry is ultimately what brought them here and it began with an assignment to pastor a small church full-time in Apalachicola. After spending just over a year in full- time ministry, Weston started a small construction and remodeling business which became their full-time job. They remained heavily involved in ministry as they received a new assignment to help with a church plant in Eastpoint in May of 2020. After another year and the completion of this assignment, Weston and Victoria felt led to begin to pursue God‘s direction for the next steps in ministry here in Franklin County. In August 2021 they began to sense God’s calling to establish Sanctuary Farms. After nine months of much prayer, seeking of direction, and counsel, the vision for Sanctuary Farms began to come forth in May 2022.
After three years of living, working and ministering here in Franklin County, Weston and Victoria have been blessed to make great connections, see firsthand the needs of their community and ultimately develop the vision and plan for how God has intended for them to make a huge impact in ministry here.
