“Food ministry” is defined as using food as an avenue to reach people for the purpose of ministry.  The long term and ultimate goal of Sanctuary Farms is to lead people to greater understanding of God, His truth, and His love for us; and food is one of the ways that we believe God has called us to do this. Sanctuary Farms would seek to gain access into the lives of people for ministry through being able to provide for them basic food necessities in times of increasing hardship, uncertainty and instability. We truly believe that difficult times are ahead for our country and that God has called us to be forerunners in being prepared to not just survive in times of hardship, but to actually thrive and be able to help others. We seek to detach ourselves from the system of reliance upon unreliable sources for our sustenance and instead become more able to live comfortably off of the land that God has given us. We would simply be using the desires, skills and knowledge He has given us to steward over our most valuable resource: Land. This is all done for the purpose of winning souls into the Kingdom of God and changing eternal destinies. As times become increasingly more difficult in our nation, we believe that people will begin to look to God more and more for provision and answers. When they do, we plan to be there waiting for them in the place of abundance that God has intended for us to be in as His hands and feet—stewarding over the land with excellence and abundance. We do realize however, that regardless of the avenue, without profit it is difficult to perform ministry. So in order to achieve greater levels of ministry, profit would be necessary. The business aspect of Sanctuary Farms would ultimately be for greater opportunities and effectiveness in ministry.
